Compare Splatware and Spatial Studio using one real job: the same capture, required edits, published tour and client handoff. Here is what to check before choosing.

Short answer

Both products cover more than splat generation. Splatware documents training, editing, animation, hosting and a Virtual Tour Studio. Spatial Studio combines capture and generation with guided tour authoring, maps, floor plans, hotspots and visitor analytics.

Choose by running your actual delivery task in each product. If you need a client tour, compare the published links and the work required to produce them. If you need an editable asset or animation, compare those outputs instead.

Real Horizons makes Spatial Studio. This is our product comparison, not an independent quality ranking. We checked Splatware's public product page on September 12, 2026; we have not run a matched reconstruction benchmark of both services.

The table distinguishes documented features from tests to perform. An omitted feature on a marketing page is not proof that a competitor lacks it.

Test one complete client job

Use a capture you have permission to upload to both products. Include the difficult parts of your normal work, such as reflective windows, narrow transitions or vegetation.

  1. Record the exact input, chosen settings, processing time and charge.
  2. Inspect missing coverage, floating geometry and important detail before editing.
  3. Build the same opening view and guided route.
  4. Add the labels, supporting media and visitor action required by the brief.
  5. Publish and open both links on the same phone and connection.
  6. Ask someone unfamiliar with the space to find a specific room or feature without coaching.
  7. Record repair time, export restrictions and any extra software required.

Keep reconstruction quality and delivery usability as separate scores. A scene may look excellent while taking too much manual work to prepare for a client.

Where Spatial Studio is worth testing

Spatial Studio is relevant when your work combines different kinds of capture with a guided presentation: a property walkthrough, a venue visit, site context or a heritage tour. Start with the published examples, then test the tools you need on your own scene.

If you already have a splat, open the viewer to inspect it. You can evaluate authoring without starting another cloud reconstruction. If you have footage or images, begin with generation.

Compare the total delivery cost

Count capture, processing, cleanup, authoring, revisions and ongoing hosting. Check current allowances for your expected files and number of live projects. A low subscription price can still be a poor fit if the delivery requires substantial extra work; an expensive plan can be unnecessary for an occasional asset export.

Use the tour revenue calculator with your own time and cost estimates. It is a planning aid, not evidence that either product will increase your revenue.

Frequently asked questions

Is Splatware cheaper?

Compare current plans against the same job and hosting period. Introductory prices, processing choices, export allowances and ongoing project needs can change the result.

Which should a real-estate media company choose?

Test the capture-to-client task in both. The deciding result should include a usable mobile link, the client's required presentation and a delivery cost you can support.

Can I use more than one tool?

Yes, when the output format is compatible. Keep the extra export, import and review time in your estimate. A specialist tool is useful when its improvement justifies that work.
